His practice explores the collisions, tensions and equilibriums between the real and artificial, the figurative and abstract, the old and new. His research has led him to explore various mediums including photography, time-based digital sculptures and immersive audiovisual . Unveiled at Art Basel in Hong Kong 2018, Quayola’s photographic series Remains: Vallée de Joux is a digital interpretation of the natural environments of the Swiss Jura Mountains.
