,425.00,938.00I own a Tudor Pelagos and Omega Seamaster - both 42mm. I also have just over a 7 inch wrist. I recently picked up a blue bb58 and honestly 39mm is the way to go. Great for everyday wear. Also, I highly recommend the Fortsner Jubilee bracelet for the BB58. Super light and comfortable.
My next watch purchase will be one of these, but with a 7.25 inch wrist, I have a hard time balancing the feeling of the 36 being a little too small and the 58 being a little out of my desired price range. Absolutely looking for some thoughts from Reddit, as you always seem to know best! To the OP: my wrist is 7 1/2-7 3/4's - I feel the Bay is a good size for me, but with a 6 inch wrist I feel it would overwhelm your wrist - Jason's suggestion of a smaller Tudor Sub was a good one. Black Bay 58 on ~6 inch wrist. Initially I thought a 54 would be a better fit on my ~6 inch wrist—but when I tried them on, I actually found they did not wear all that differently, due to similar lug lengths. I ended up choosing the 58 bc I preferred the styling (the dial of the 54 felt overly brownish to me), and the face seemed a bit .The Tudor black bay 36. With Tudor’s latest 2021 launch, the Tudor BB36 now comes in 3 dial variations: the blue, black and silver dials. The one featured here is what some would call the safest (boring) choice – the black dial. What can I say – boring means its more likely to stand the test of time, but the blue and silver too are pretty handsome too!
The Black Bay 36 with the black dial is a wonderful watch, do not get me wrong. But out of these two, I would always pick the Rolex Explorer. Simply because I love the Explorer’s dial with its iconic 3-6-9 numerals. If I were going to buy a field watch in the price category of the Tudor BB36, I would probably opt for the Vertex M100 instead.
IMO it looks a tiny bit big on you, but what can you do? It’s a classic dive watch size, and I doubt people had bigger wrists in the past. A BB36 would probably fit you a bit better, but keep in mind that the dial is about the same size, so it’s sort of the same size (a 36 mm Explorer or Datejust wears about as big as a 41 mm submariner for this reason).
So, I finally made it to an AD to try on some of the newish in-house Tudor Black Bays. I've sort of been toiling over the decision between a BB58 and the regular Black Bay 79230. When I searched online for some reference images on a 7 inch wrist, I couldn't find many, so thought this might be helpful for folks out there, as well as for me. The Only Tudor Black bay 54 Club! . Black Bay 36 - 7 inch wrist (pics) Hello all! Strongly considering the BB36 as an alternative to the Rolex Explorer . I have a 7 inch wrist and do not like 'big' watches. I.e. I want the watch to have a presence, but don't want the watch to .
Maybe this can help a prospective buyer, my wrist is 7 1/8" and I'm maxed out on my BB36 Silver, i.e. all links + last microadjust hole. If your wrist is larger than that hopefully your AD can be as accommodating as @DavidPE's.
I’ve been looking around at Black Bay 36’s and have decided to go with the black dial as I find it to be the most impressive given it’s glossy finish. I wanted to share this photo for anyone wanting to know what each dial color would look like on a 7” wrist. I have a 7.5'ish wrist and wear size 36 after falling in love with tudor daydates. The good thing is that my watch buying has dropped off quite a bit because all the mostly nicer watches are in the 40mm bracket which to me now is way too big!!.. #winning Tudor Black Bay 36 on the wrist Although 36MM could be considered a small watch size for men by modern standards, the watch's incredible balance makes you forget about millimeters once you'll start wearing it.
The 36 mm stainless-steel case lies perfectly flat and is perfectly comfortable on both male and female wrists (as you can see from the pictures below). Just as importantly, it looks in proportion to the wrist, not overwhelming it or seeming too small. Dive bezels are great for timing stuff through day and the 58 looks good on your wrist so I say go with that.
